According the Cat's vet, dry cat food can aggravate his problem. So we got some of that disgusting wet food that comes in a can. We got the dogs a couple of the packet kind, too.
I haven't had to give the cat any of it, and this morning I figured I'd give the dogs some of the made-with-"beef" kind. It comes in a packet. As soon as I started to tear the top off, and a bit of brown gel oozed out of the top, I knew it was going to be awful. I squeezed, and a freakin' brick of processed meat by-products, and some unidentified brown gel dropped onto the plate. I didn't even want to look at it. Then I had to mash it up with a fork. I started to gag, and my eyes watered. The brown gel was doing it. I didn't want that shit mixed in with my dogs' food. So I staggered to the trash can and scraped that part into the trash, still gagging, on the verge of vomiting.
Finished chopping up the rest of it, still fearing the return of barfing in the morning.
Plate was clean in under a minute.
That was so not worth it. J will doing that job from now on.
